OOC: I'm putting this, timelinewise, between her thread with Xy/Rotem and the thread with Zybyr. ^^

Adelaid was keen on returning to Botrus, but knew that she needed some time to recover from the upsetting events of the day before. The young white-spotted buckskin kardunn mare had been in grave danger. Something dark had called her to the cliffs, and she had found just what that had been. A demonic monster not worthy of being called an equine had chased her down in an attempt to eat her. Adelaid had been rescued just in the nick of time. She had been blinded by panic, and had fallen to the ground. Were it not for the dark scarred and muddied stallion who rescued her in that moment, Adelaid would no longer be among the living.
Instead, she would have become one of the undead, which she was so eager to see.
Her eagerness had made her stupid, and she was not about to make the same mistake twice. She would need to gather her strength first. She had eaten plenty; finding water was all that remained. She remembered on her way to Botrus having scented water, and followed her nose now to a strange network of caves.
Adelaid had only wandered far enough inside to get a drink. She did not like the idea of exploring the dark caves, where every sound bounced off the walls and amplified itself, so she was careful to make a mental note of the way she had come. But after drinking her fill, her slurping noises turning to curious whispers in the gloom, when she turned to leave she found that she was suddenly turned around.
Lost! she scolded herself, You stupid mare!
"Hello?" Adelaid called out, her voice a loud and annoyed boom, "I'm lost! Is there anyone here?"
