Wiley suggested I post my question in here so I could get a definite answer.
I'm in the process of writing up my character's bio. He has a condition based heavily upon dissociative identity disorder, which means he has two entirely distinct and separate personalities. The first and original, Sankron, can be "in control" at one moment, and then, either randomly or due to a specific trigger (these will be listed in his bio), the alternate personality, Valkire, can suddenly become the "dominant personality," and vice versa.
When I originally created this character, it was for a site that permitted elements of magic. I decided to incorporate a slight change in appearance that would indicate a switch in personality. San's coloring is brighter and more golden, but when Kir takes over, his mane, tail, coat, and eyes become duller, darker, and more desaturated. If this is unacceptable for this site, I completely understand. It's hardly central to his character, but it can help both myself and others distinguish between the personalities.
Should you choose not to allow this, an alternate possibility could be that the amulet he wears shifts color with his personalities. Again, should you decide you aren't okay with permitting that, I can still make and use the character. =]
